Perhaps Joe would deny the characterization, but in my estimation this guy's work counts as heroic. "Palestine" should be required reading for all Middle East studies scholars, for folks at the highest levels of American statesmanship, and for anyone who wants to see what excellence in graphic journalism is all about. My wife teaches "Safe Area Goražde" as part of her border studies class.
In a lighter vein, I love the way he depicts himself in his drawings.
