Walt Holcombe created the graphic novel, 'The King of Persia', for which he received an Eisner Award in 1997. His four-part series, 'Poot', was published by Fantagraphics Books in 1998. In 2001, Holcombe directed and animated the six-minute cartoon short, 'The Courtship of Sniffy La Pants'.

He lives in Los Angeles and works on the fringe of the animation industry.
