In the late 60's I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Dedini in Monterrey, CA. I was stationed in the military in that area. I met his family while taking art classes under his sister-in-law. He invited me to his house and we had a great time. I played my guitar while he prepared wine and snacks. He showed me his studio and work in progress. What a treat for a young soldier. I'll always remember him and his family.

The world has lost one of the great cartoonists. Dedini was a very down to earth guy. I've been working on a video interview/post production, with him for over a year. I just completed it shortly before his death.
