Winner of several Virginia Press awards and still going strong at 80, Don reports that he "started cartooning in Charlottesville, VA after retiring from NY city advertising art direction...about 25 years ago. Now over 1,000 cartoons later still doing them at 80 but the strange thing is I'm now doing them from Arizona, thanks to the internet. Moved here about a year ago to a PC place. [pre-cremation]." (He obviously still has his wit!) Don is currently writing for The Hook, where, he observes, the staff could well be his grandkids. Figuratively, I think he means.
