Seagulls are quite resourceful. This one established its nursery on top of the ferry landing pilings among the discarded cables and hardware, almost within reach of the passengers on the upper deck. The ferry docking every 30 minutes, bumping into and shaking the pilings, didn't deter the bird from staking out its territory. In fact it probably pre-determined that it was a good spot to get help from the passengers in feeding the chicks, as the one squaks for a handout.
