I had babysitting duty for my grandson for a few hours this afternoon. After lunch, he pointed out back, so we took a little hike around our trails. I had him on my shoulders and as we dipped below some of the low-hanging willow branches, he must have picked up this tiny caterpillar on his hat. It was just over 1/4" long and is the larval stage of the Unicorn Prominent moth. Amazing things all around in nature if you just look!
