A rare in winter Yellow-bellied Sapsucker has been visiting for a few days. Today, it was still enjoying the crab apples that to me, certainly look past the 'Best By' date!

All ruffled up against the wind and cold it almost looks like a different species! A fantastic sharp shot of both bird and fruit. I hope there is more wild fruit around for this visitor who should be further south. V
