A family of beautiful Brown Thrashers have made their home here. Love seeing them.

Not sure what was up with my camera settings, but I find it hard to believe I got a sharp shot at 1/25s!

Yesterday's photo:

Canon EOS R5
1/25s f/10.0 at 500.0mm iso160 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Nice sharp image Carl.

It is very sharp. The R5 has incredible image stabilization. They are a striking looking bird especially with the long tail. V

Great shot! What a nice neighbor to have. V

You were using the R5. Unless the bird suddenly moved, it (with a good tele lens) can handle that speed. Super shot.

Sometimes 'reflex' shots turn out awfully good!

well it did a great job for sure, splendid picture!

A quality photo notwithstanding the shutter speed. Is this bird a relative of thrushes, or is this a case of convergent evolution. It looks like a thrush with a fierce expression and long tail.

Great shot of this beautiful thrasher. That is amazing about the shutter speed, especially for a bird at that distance!
