A 'year-round' American Goldfinch sings in his mating colors. It's been a very slow spring migration so far. We haven't seen too many "new" birds. Maybe overnight with the southerly winds and migration prediction? https://birdcast.info/

It's been slow this Spring for migrating birds in NW Virginia too! Our American Goldfinch are showing breeding plumage too!
