Practicing a bit today. I figured I would post the Sun since we have beautiful, clear skies today and the forecast for tomorrow—when it counts—is mostly cloudy.

Great practice shot, and I'm sure you'll get something. I agree with Liz, though. We were in TN for the total solar eclipse in 2017, just barely outside the path of totality, at 99.9 percent, and the experience was indeed awesome. We'll only be at 87 percent here, and it may be cloudy as well.

Even if it is cloudy and if you maybe can't actually photograph the total eclipse, a total solar eclipse is still an awesome experience when totality happens. Unlike in 2017, this time around, we're only in the path of 90% totality. With full totality, you'll get a more memorable experience, come rain or shine. If it is not totally socked in, I'm sure you'll get some photos. BTW, the experience is actually more important than any photos. Enjoy the total eclipse.
