Found a Pseudoscorpion exploring the wall this morning! After its photo shoot, I placed it outside in some leaf debris. It was about 3/16" or 5mm head to tail.

From Wikipedia: Pseudoscorpions, also known as false scorpions or book scorpions, are small, scorpion-like arachnids belonging to the order Pseudoscorpiones, also known as Pseudoscorpionida or Chelonethida. Pseudoscorpions are generally beneficial to humans since they prey on clothes moth larvae, carpet beetle larvae, booklice, ants, mites, and small flies.

Those nippers look excellent for preying on other small creatures, maybe also for attaching to prying fingers.

Nice capture of this still menacing looking critter.

Fascinating with the pinchers. We could use this harmless (to people and pets) guy here to help take care of plant pests.

Looks scary, but I sure could use one of those right now as I'm dealing with a plague of ants!

Cool shot. Unfortunately, Scorpions are considered a pest here and many are venomous.

Excellent closeup! Not something I’d want to run into, but good to hear they’re beneficial to humans.
