Had to go out this afternoon for a bit and always wanted a shot of this bridge before it succumbs to time—or I do!

"......or I do," I know the feeling. Nice shot. I like the B & W treatment.

A nice peice of history and well shot.

Great shot. Hope it doesn't give out while there is a train passing by, assuming they still do.

What a great find. Those old bridges are fascinating. V

Your fine composition really makes this lower than 12' 8"!
This is a great looking black and white!

Interesting to see Pennsylvania Railroad up there.

Before I even read the name on the bridge, I thought that it looked like "Pennsylvania." This brings back memories.

A piece of history that hopefully will be restored, and maybe put to good use again.

I simply cannot understand why our railroad companies haven't gone monorail for hi-speed cross-country transportation for people and for goods! From your photo, they haven't invested any money on this bridge since it was built!

Oh wow, Pennsylvania RR. That's an old one! My Mom worked for them back in the 40s. I have some memorabilia including a nice lantern. I remember when they merged with NY to form Penn Central in the 60s and later into ConRail.

Great shot of this railroad bridge that looks like it's on its last legs.

railroad bridge... very tough, beautiful composition and monochrome!
Mairéad05-Jan-2024 23:02
Works well in mono and I find it interesting that the name the railway company is on the bridge.

May neither of you be in a hurry to succumb.

Cool shot of the old rail bridge... still trains there? I bet it will stand awhile longer yet! V
