Portrait of Ron

I met Ron and his wife a couple of years ago while walking the dogs. I posted a photo of one of his dogs, Max last year. This year Ron, who is a writer with a Ph.D., asked me to help him with a book he's writing regarding the Dollar General ‘assault’ on small towns—why some towns refuse to disrupt residential areas and others give in without listening to the residents. I designed the cover and redrew some maps he is including. Today I photographed him for an author photo, though he's telling me he wants to use Max instead! Anyway, he is a very interesting friend and we've had many fun discussions on everything from his Coast Guard days to politics to the philosophy of life, and of course ... DOGS!
