I had been watching a group of sparrows off one of the trails near a slow-moving part of the creek for several days as we walked the dogs. This morning I ventured out alone (until Ollie joined me!) and headed over to observe them more closely. I knew there were White-throated, Chipping and Song Sparrows in the mix, but was happy to see one of my favorites—the Lincoln's Sparrow, pose for a shot. Heading home tomorrow. We had a very nice 10 days here, but it'll be good to be home.
