Nice capture of your frightened visitor.

When I was a little kid, I had seven of these "baby" Painted Turtles as pets. They had their own aquarian and toys and store bought food. For treats, I'd dig up earth worms for them. Although I now feel such turtles are better in Nature, Painted Turtles as pets were the rage back then... One of mine lived to be 15 years until just before I got married.

How nice to see this one visiting you in Nature.

Even curled up the colours are apparent. A nice species for your backyard "collection".

Excellent shot for something so tiny, and with a cell phone at that!
