Blackberry Looper Moth (Chlorochlamys chloroleucaria) and Friend

On 9/2 I shot this caterpillar on the same plant and it was greenish. See it here:

Now it has adapted to the Joe-Pye Weed and turned pink! The ant crawled on it many times, very quickly and the caterpillar didn't even flinch.

Amazing shot. Not only does the caterpillar, with that pretty colour, look like part of the Joe-pye weed, but to catch it with an ant investigating it.... Wow! V
