Spotted this pretty female Belted Kingfisher sitting on a canoe by my neighbor’s pond, but I inadvertently spooked it and it flew a bit further to their slide. This is a pretty big crop and was shot in less than optimal light, but I am still happy with the processed shot.

Great photo of this pretty little Kingfisher, very different in colour to our blue ones here in Australia. Love the spiderweb detail too. V

A quite pretty shot of this Kingfisher. The newer cameras do seem to have a greater latitude as to cropping.

getting a clean shot like that even with a big cropped is wow, bravo!

She probably didn't want her photo taken because she's having a bad hair day.
Excellent capture.

Still a sharp shot, even with the big crop. I like that you managed to get all the cobwebs, too.

Superb shot! I'd be more than happy with this photo. I think this may be an even more aesthetically pleasing perch than the canoe! V

So you should be! That's a super shot of this little kingfisher...couldn't tell it had been cropped
