Home for the Summer

If you recall, last summer we had an explosion of bats living under a wooden flag on the garage. A couple of bats stayed too long into the cool fall weather and started to hibernate there. It would have been too cold for them, so we called a local bat expert (@battyloon on Instagram) and she took care of them for the winter. She ended up taking care of about 50 in total! Some like ours were cold and weak, and some were found during construction or injured.

Today she brought our two females back, along with three males from a nearby area. They eagerly climbed under the flag and will set out on the hunt for food tonight.
