Years ago I took my mom on Mother’s Day to Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, NY to see a bird she loved but had never seen before—the Rose-breasted Grosbeak. That was over 20 years ago, and she’s been gone for over 15 years. I had recently remarked that it was strange we hadn't see one here yet this season. Guess who showed up on Mother's Day?
Happy Mother's Day, Mom, and to all the moms out there.
