Went about a half mile off the trail with the dogs this morning. Really enjoyed the peace of the woods—we had them all to ourselves. I heard and saw my FOY Blue-headed Vireo. I heard the Louisiana Waterthrush calling by the creek. I spotted this large rock, by itself among the ramps and thought about all the wonderful things in nature that have happened around it for so many years. Let's hope we get this climate change thing figured out.

This NASA Earth animation of annual temperature data doesn't lie. https://fb.watch/cz2SP06US0/

The mossy rock is a standout as is the setting. I like to get off trail (carefully) and just sit and watch/listen. If we don't figure out how to deal with climate change ASAP I'm afraid we're done for. V

I hope climate change can be stopped, but I am pessimistic. A lovely capture of things coming to life. V

Mossy rocks are a favorite of mine - lovely with the fresh green leaves growing from the mulch.
