The Turkey Vultures are back in force. Over 8800 were counted a few days ago at a nearby migration watch.

There is only one turkey vulture in this shot.

This is outstanding! My flight shots are little black blobs way up high! They are definitely around in good numbers in eastern NA. V

Great shot of this turkey vulture, and especially nice with the backlit wing feathers. I met a turkey vulture named George at the American Eagle Foundation in Pigeon Forge, TN. He was 32 years old and according to his handler, the most intelligent bird there.
