Again I ask, "Where is the snow?"

Normally, these goldenrod would have been flattened by several rounds of snow already and currently resting under at least 12' or so. We have gotten an inch of snow on just a few occasions this season, and it melted the next day. We just recorded the warmest December on record. How anyone over 35 years of age can’t look back and see how the climate has changed and warmed is either apathetic, in denial or heavily invested in fossil fuel. Don’t Look Up!

Well said Carl! Same here in the UK - ridiculously warm temperatures over Christmas and New Year

Just the opposite here...the first white Christmas in years and there are still a foot of snow on the ground with -9C tonight. v

Very beautiful golden hues. The lack of snow and mild temperatures are unsettling. Unfortunately whether it is addressed or not has become political. V

We broke records every day this week, and have more 80+ days this month that ever before. But tomorrow, it will be 40 for our high temp.

it's a sad situation and i dont think we can't do something to reverse it!
Happy New Year to you and yours!

The snow is all here on the West Coast... at least we'll have good mountain snow pack for water (unless it all melts and causes flooding and landslides!)

The new year will bring some cold, neat shot, Carl.

Perhaps one reason for the drop in snowfall is due to climate change causing more winter precipitation in the form of rain instead of snow...V

Wow, it's a beautiful capture but a frightening situation. I keep wondering how (some) people can see all the extreme weather like this and not be seriously worried about it. We've been having temps in the 60s -- at the end of December! -- and I feel given the almost total lack of snow since we've been back from Saudi for the past five years, that we'll never see it again in DC.

Agree with your words totally!! How anyone can deny the reality of what we see all around us, the profoundly unsettling changes, is truly in denial.
