Cooper’s Hawk

I spent most of the day trying to figure out why my computer was locking up every few minutes.
I took a break this morning to walk the dogs and saw a hawk, maybe this one, fly in and land about 20'
from me. I say maybe this one, because I thought the one I saw this morning was smaller—possibly
a Sharp-shinned which looks very similar and is often difficult to distinguish by size alone.
This one showed up around 4:30p. I was in the process of updating some video drivers and saw a flash
past my window. I saw it sitting in a maple alongside the house, so I crept up to the landing and got
a few shots angled through the window before it flew off, empty taloned!

Thank goodness I was able to somehow correct the issue with my system, too!
