I was surprised when Callie discovered this American Toad in the leaves (and cold RAIN!) this morning. The temp was only in the upper 40s.

Great capture. It appears Callie was a good girl and didn't get rough with the toad.

Nice shot of Mr Toad, no doubt on his way back to Toad Hall. Perhaps his motor-car is out of commission?

He's very well camouflaged - well spotted by Callie.

That's seriously warty skin! Looks to be quite closely related to the pestiferous Cane Toads I have in my garden.

You got some great detail on this toad, and good for Callie! We were in the 60s today with no rain.

Fantastic shot of this handsome toad. Looks like it might have been on its way to somewhere warm for the cold days ahead. V
