Not a great shot by any means, but an interesting interaction between a Brown Thrasher and a small Dekay’s Brown Snake.

I had seen this bird out back on several occassions and happened to frighten it away while out with the dogs. Upon approaching the area
where the bird was, I noticed a dead 6” Dekay’s Brown Snake. Figuring that I disturbed the bird’s meal, I left the area and went back
to the house. When I got in, I saw the bird was back and witnessed it beating up the snake—tossing it about and pecking very strongly at it.
I was disappointed to find later that the bird just killed the snake and didn’t eat it.
