Lots of American Goldfinches at the feeders today. This guy was waiting his turn.

I'm surprised how many people think they "return" in the spring,
when in fact they are here all winter just in non-breeding plumage.

We get finches flying through Houston area, but not during breeding colors. Lucky you! V
