This Morning, 6:08am. Great to see the sun.

Between the regular interruptions from nurses and my friendly, but chatty 39-year old roommate whom I now refer to as "Yappy"
that had the TV on constantly—Tony, I wish you the best with your illness—I maybe got 3 hours of sleep last night. This was my first
time ever in the hospital. It was a planned and necessary surgery. I've had a very healthy and lucky life. The nurses were all fantastic.
Cheerful and accommodating, they laughed at all my stupid jokes and comforted me with sincere care.

I was able to come home this afternoon, because of the robotic surgery and minimal incisions. One recovery day at a time. It's great to be
home, and I hope all of you will consider those less fortunate who are in hospitals all over the world.

Thanks for all of your concern for me on yesterday's PAD and for the anticipated concern today. PBase is a great community.

I will resume to commenting as soon as I am able. On a side note, are people's private messages screwed up?
I can only see messages from 2010 and 2011 even though it shows I have two new messages.

Good to hear you are at home. You will recover way faster now. I think Yappy used to live on Vancouver Island because he was in the hospital when I was there.

They are places we're happy to go to when we need and happy to leave when we don't. Take it easy and don't fight what your body tells you and all will be well. As for room mates....LOL!!

I know how hospitals are difficult at nights... so I know exactly what it felt
like... hope you are well on the mend now!

Carl, I am happy to hear that the worst is behind you. Great image to accompany your words.

I am so glad you are home, Carl.. I don't like hospitals but they are great when you need one.

Wishing you the best! I know exactly what you mean, having been in the hospital three times in the last year. Ok to visit, but I don't want to stay there.
