I saw a flash of hawk feathers pass the front door and spotted this immature Sharp-shinned Hawk in the Eastern Redbud. He or she was unsuccessful
in getting breakfast. I shot this through a window with a screen, so it's a bit soft,
but it was the most photo-worthy thing that happened around here today.
It's been "November Grey" and cooler these past few days as the remnants
of Gordon pass to our south.
