White Baneberry - Actaea pachypoda

I think this is the red variant of white baneberry , as opposed to red baneberry, Actaea rubra.
The white baneberry berries have a black dot on them and are known by the common name, "doll's eyes".
There is much of this plant growing in the park where we walk the dogs.
Although the berries are poisonous to humans, wildlife can eat them without harm.

The plant certainly has a unique way of displaying its bright berries.

Good to be aware of the dangers this plant holds with its interesting flower Carl.
