House Sparrow

I’m not super keen on having these non-native guys around. We ‘dis-affectionately’ call them “chirpy chuckles”.
They compete with our native Eastern Bluebirds to the point of breaking their eggs and bludgeoning their young.
I may have to dust off my BB gun.

No, no,keep the gun away. These are beautiful little birds and they didn't ask to be brought here long ago. We humans interfered (as always), and now they are only trying to survive as we all are!! In fact, their numbers here (and in Europe) are declining sharply. So you may find, as I have here, that one day they will just vanish, or only one or two will be left. V
