Last year this area was dry as a bone for the whole summer. Now it seems like it's not going to dry out all summer.

Can't we get some normalcy? Or is this the new normal?

The new normal! But what a fine pond and image thereof this is (this year); ephemerality and unpredictability have some advantages.
