A cold day today. This female downy woodpecker waits for her turn at the suet.

We got about 2" of snow overnight, and 5-8" forecast for tonight. That's April in Western New York!

Nice shot of this bird! The weather is unsettled here also, cold yesterday with wind gusts to 40mph+. Today nice with temps. near 60°f, cold tonight with high temps. in the 30's for the next 5 days off and on rain/snow.

We had 4 separate blizzards come and go thru out the day. Weirdest April day ever. Nice capture...i never see cool birds like this.

Beautiful and exquisite light on this lovely little woodpecker. It is bitterly cold here, but no snow (yet!). V
