Found this bald-faced hornet's nest just about 10' from the yard in the field today.
Kodi stirred them up last summer, so I had an idea they were there and just steered clear.
Now the nest is abandoned and we can safely admire the amazing architecture.

I kicked one over this past spring and ended up getting stung 6 times as I was running away- It was horrific! Nature does NOT play around!

What a great shot! I think it is amazing that insects can create such symmetrical and strong nests using only their mouths! V
