Bot Fly (Cuterebra emasculator)

Back to insects for today's PAD. This is a bumblebee mimic.
It is some sort of fly that I need to ID. (Thanks Christine!) So many cool things in the natural world!

Very cool! I believe this might be Cuterebra emasculator, a bot fly which seems to focus on parasitizing chipmunks. A really unusual looking creature! V
