Yes, you are doing the right thing to keep him busy. This happened to my Finnegan when we lost Dusty last fall. He was so lonely... he would go looking for his playmate/sister. We went to the shelter and adopted another cat because he was so pathetic. Now we're so glad we did.

I'm sure he enjoys the extra attention, you have to fill in for his pal for a while. You guys sure have lots of snow to play in!

I'm sure the comfort works both ways; he helps you heal as you do with him. He looks so cute with his slice of watermelon in the snow!
