Barn Owl

Years ago, my girlfriend (now my wife) and I were walking on
a raised boardwalk in a swampy area around 6:30 am on a summer morning.
All of a sudden there was this blood-curdling hiss/scream.
We never saw what it was, and eventually my right arm recovered
from the vise-like grip of my wife.
Initially we thought it might be a bobcat, but after thinking about it
we listened to the Barn Owl call and felt positive it was what we heard.

Owls are the one elusive animal I have yet to photograph. Someday!

Love your story. Bet you feel that grip every time you see the Barn Owl painting which is so well done and so is your image! V

This is such a super image. I gather it is a painting on barn board? It is beautiful. Love you tale, too! V
