Well, it is cold, but we didn't get anywhere near the three feet of snow they predicted.

My theory is that the winds were so high and the air so cold that the snowflakes were much smaller and therefore,
packed more tightly together. This was certainly evident while shoveling as it felt like shoveling sand.
