I think the NWS (National Westher Service) should change to AOF, Another Overblown Forecast.

Barely 3" of snow doesn't require winter storm warnings. Maybe the forecasters are Mayan ...

LOL!! Carl,our weather people do the same thing. I see them post a major winter storm warning for us and we get a trace amount. The more new equipment they get,the worse the predictions get..

Living close to the lakes can make forecasting tricky. Better safe than sorry.
Actually the Mayans did not forecast anything. The forecast was made by dumb westerners who wanted to interpret the calendar in their own way.

The snow certainly changed the view of this spot from yesterday! But I agree, 3" of snow is hardly worth a warning. We had 30 cm of the stuff and I'm still shovelling!
