So I'm sitting here, half asleep. It's 10 pm and I need to shoot my PAD.

I felt so uninspired, I just wanted to go to bed, but then I told myself
"failure is not an option!" ... or is it?

F is for flat, which sounds like how you were feeling. Not to mention flat out. I'd say you gave us a very creative representation of your point in time.
