Pressure.

A visit to an ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma confirmed that I have the potential
for narrow-angle glaucoma, and recommended laser iridotomy as a preventative measure.

While I'm not thrilled with the thought of a laser blasting a hole in my iris,
it's better than potentially going blind.

Great image - looks like a deep pond with trees reflected in it
Good luck with the laser treatment -it's supposed to give good results.

Yikes! Hope everything works out for you. Excellent representation of the day/situation. It reminds me of the huge eye that used to be at the end of the Monsanto ride in Disneyland. Unfortunately no longer there. You keep getting smaller and then you end up looking up through a huge telescope lens where this giant eye is looking at you - it looked like this! V

I also had narrow angle glaucoma. I did have the laser surgery, in both eyes, but not at the same time. I was not thrilled about having my eyeball blasted with a laser either! I can tell you that it doesn't really hurt, but the anticipation of the laser coming when they tell you to hold very still is a little stressful. If I can do it, you'll do fine. Like you said, it's better than going blind. Nice eyeball by the way. Looks a little like mine, brown in the middle with green around the outside. Good luck with your surgery.
