Looking West this morning, the remnants of a lone Tulip Tree flower from last season
sits in the branches against a forest of maple and ash being warmed by the sun.
How neat! Love the tracery of the branches against that perfect backdrop. Up this way, Tulip trees are rare because we are a bit too cold for them, yet the Arboretum has two, or had two, one died recently.
