Northern Saw-whet Owl

A new lifer for me and the family! We ventured up to Braddock Bay and were fortunate to find
a couple of these guys roosting along the trails. There were several birders there and very
willing to give directions. It was breezy and chilly and lots of driving. I'm whipped!

Braddock Bay is a major raptor migration stopover point. The birds rest up here for a couple of days
each Spring, and then make their way north to Canada across Lake Ontario—approximately 40-50 miles.
