I had plenty of vivid memories and scary thrill with this roads back in the early 60's. We've been stranded in this road several times in the early 60's due to massive landslide cause by severe weather storm. The last time I went by this road was in 1977,but the road was then vastly improved and widened,it's no longer a rough road.
