Great composition Sam.

I feel a little 'ambiguous' about commenting on the frame here Sam after having commented on Nico's very beautiful portrait but feeling that in his image, the frame was a little distracting.

I think it works better here, perhaps because of the many complementary highlights in this image? I certainly do NOT think it is a negative element in this composition Sam.

Love the bubble reflections and your B&W treatment is great. ~ Regards Bob

The bean is really very dramatic in and of itself...you've incorporated it into an even more dramatically captured skyline. Well done. -Michael

Thanks Jim; to frame or not to frame, that is the question! I admit that many times I just do the auto thing, please let me know when you feel it becomes a negative element. Sam Attal

I like the counterplay of the bean versus the illuminated rim of the building at the top of the image. I don't see how you could crop this to make it any better, but I must say that for some reason, I do yearn to see the top of the building. But then again, that creates some tension that may well be a good thing. I also think you did well to put a small black rim around the photo to separate the building's white, illuminated rim from the frame. That's a very nice touch! I also like the black and white treatment and being able to see the railing. Jim H.

I like the "Bean" and the tree sitting next to each other. Sort of a Chicago "odd couple." And b & w was a good choice for this busy image.

Wonderful B&W of Chicago and the Cloud Gate sculpture Sam! I love all those different geometric shapes and the nice reflection in the "Bean" (I wonder why the artist named it "Cloud Gate"). I like that you included the railing and took the picture from this angle - it makes this a unique image of Chicago! :-) CJ

Thanks Ledia, initially I thought it is too busy with so many elements; then I could not decide what to crop so I left it as originally framed. Sam Attal
