I tried it in B&W, and I agree with Lydia. In B&W, though, I think it could stand a little lightening, but I suppose that depends upon the technique you use to change to monochrome. Either way, it's a nice image. I do wonder about one thing, though. If you follow the chin line from the front of the chin to the ear, there seems to be some sort of weird discontinuity between the neck and ear. Do you have an explanation for that? -- Victor

Lydia, are you pulling my leg? This photo is color but it's as close to being B&W without being B&W as you can get. I did look at it in B&W and to my eye there is no significant change.
Would you care to humor me, Pops, and try this in BW? I think it would add to the impact since it's really a well-composed and sharp shot, but it lacks something... I don't know what. ~Lydia

"Face of Boe" is an occasional character on the British Sci-Fi series Dr. Who. He is a face only and about 5 foot tall, just like this marble statue. Now my "face of Boe" resembles the Dr. Who "Face" in size only. Do a google image search and you'll find him.
