Great contrast of the old and new Michael, each beautiful in their own way, and each a symbol of San Francisco. Good to see you posting again! :-) CJ

An excellent image. I love the contrast between the old and new. They both have qualities and merits, they both have a beauty of their own.
Way back in college I had a professor whose favorite word was "dichotomy." He used it so much that we would count how many times he used it in one class. The count was amazing. You've heard of teachers who were so boring you'd sleep in class, the word on Professor Hyde was, "Bring a bed."
Good contrast here Michael, architecturally as well as luminosity. I like the lumo one but not keen on the the other. I think it is a shame that great old buildings like that are gradually being swamped by ugly concrete blocks, even pointy ones like this.
Now.... having vented my spleen, back to the photographical side of things! Crisp and neat capture and your B&W processing is excellent Michael.
