There's a thin line between ruined shot and great shot. I think the still face made this photo cross this line into the great shot category. Motion blur works so well, both by showing movement and also as a color smearing effect.

Thanks for the comments. This was shot on stage, in a theatre, without influence on the layout or on anything else. Originally I wanted to capture the benumbed actress and the movements around her, but about 1/2 seconds afer starting the exposure, the actress moved her arms and body, while she keept her face numb. I stopped the capture about 2 seconds later (the automatic of the camera set it to 6 seconds but I feel that it is too long). The play was Bergman's "The Ritual". Cheers, MCsaba
This is a terrific effect! I'd really like to know how you accomplished it. I do have to agree with Lonnit on the foot and newspaper, tho. Nicely done. Cheers, -mikey
That's lovely! Ethereal. I would have preferred her right leg out straight with a pointed foot, a twist of her hips towards the camera, maintaining the existing upper body position, making it a bit more sensual. Maybe you could soften that newspaper as well. To be fair, the initial impact of this image is excellent and it took a bit of looking before these suggestions popped up.~ Lonnit
