Yes. I love the 870 we had the earlier model with 4X telephoto lens, a SD7xx that we left at a restaraunt and never saw again. But I have to say that I like the wide angle much better than the extra reach. Perfect for group pics. I had planned on using the DSLR, to get something for eligible, but just couldn't bring myself to unpack it once I was seated.
Trav - I haven't had time to comment on eligibles, but I really like the distant shore.
Yes, wow, I miss my lost 870 IS...of course, I only had it for a month before it went missing...this makes me think I should buy another one. Do you love yours, Aussie Dog?
