Penny, I do hope you're not taking offense at my well-meant remark. I admire your work. You do beautiful images! The quality of the photography here is good... it's the image quality that appears less than your usual images. As I said, the composition and subject material are quite pleasing. Please don't be offended. I did mean well... *sigh* Take it as quite the compliment that you're known for high quality images. *smile* ~Lydia

OK. So I'll work at getting a better "quality" photo posted. I haven't been out of my office much during the day lately so the light was diminishing here and the color was washed out and I guess I tried too hard to save it because I thought the topic might be of interest. But I really just wanted an opinion, though, about the layers to see if I'm moving in the right direction with the topic. So thanks for the encouragement.
Oh - and they aren't really marbles but small (5 inches or so in diameter) metal balls that they're trying to throw close to the little wooden yellow ball (that's the point of the game).

Penny, I like the layers very much. I definitely see three of them... now that I'm getting used to the topic.
I don't think the quality of the photo is up to your usual impressive works, but it might be just the size issue. It seems very contrasty... perhaps that's why the faces are not as sharp as you usually get them. *sigh* The composition and interest is definitely up to your usual work. ~Lydia

Yep, indeed, this is what I had in mind... I would argue the marbles (?) in front, the people etc in the middle and the dramatic building windows in the back combine here to tell a complete story... and each layer contributes its little bit.
