Thanks, Lydia. CJ, the sticker makes the title and indeed, what drew my attention to this pen-finder thingy. Thanks, Bob - I'm not sure about the escalation, what with the Chinese workers striking for higher wages, energy prices and what not. Penny, it is sickening isn't it? What worries me is what happens when we have to learn how to make things for ourselves again, i.e. when its no longer cost effective to ship stuff from China. Thanks again, y'all. Cheers, -mikey

I don't know what to say - the implications are sickening.

Oh too familiar.... and no doubt set to escalate?

Nice composition Mikey and the little 'gold tag' does it for me as well!

Nice twist to the topic and great statement photo! It goes beyond the challenge.

Maybe you should title this "Ironic Iconic"? The sticker makes this for me! :-) CJ

I'll take your stance on it, Mikey. Good argument. Thanks for your good attitude, too. ~Lydia

Thanks for comments, Lydia, Naj & Nico. Nico & Naj, there is a lot to say about this image, indeed. Time will tell us all how much, really. Lydia, I can see how you would hesitate on the topic-readiness of this shot. My feeling is that a country's flag is a logo; an image that leads one to recognizing the country it represents. I must admit, this isn't a flag, rather a parody of a flag on a pen-finder, but none-the-less recognizable as the American flag. So, if you want to trundle this off to Pending, its yours to do, no problem. Cheers, -mikey

Nicely seen and captured, Mr Shealy. Lots of stories behind this story, I am sure. Thanks for the post. Kind regards. Nico

Ouch. That one hurts. Sad situation, indeed.

I like what you're saying with this image, Michael. Is the star an actual logo or trademark? I'm not sure about this. ~Lydia

Not really, irony would be if the factory that used to make them was American and had to close down because it lost the order to China. Wassatt?... it did?... Oh, Okay, I stand corrected ;-)
